A passenger line is a merchant ship which carries people. Some famous passenger lines are queen Mary, Normandie etc. Some types of passenger lines are ferries, ocean liners and cruise ships.
Passenger lines are sometimes dangerous. When even one passenger line sinks or has an accident, it will be the death of a huge amount of people. Let's take Titanic as an example. Titanic was a very large ship. People see it as a floating island. People also said that Titanic is unsinkable. They said "even god cannot sink this ship". What really happened was, Titanic sank on its first voyage killing many people. Only few of them were saved.
