When a system of millions of billions of stars together with gas and dust held together by gravitational attraction is called a galaxy. Our galaxy is called the Milky Way. The word galaxy is derived from the Greek word Galaxias. Galaxies contain star systems, star clusters and interstellar clouds etc. The galaxy nearest to our own is the Andromeda Galaxy. Some types of galaxies are spiral galaxies, elliptical galaxies and irregular galaxies. There are probably more than 170 billion galaxies in the observable universe. Galaxies are said to be formed by the Big Bang.

A planet is an astronomical object orbiting a star or a stellar remnant. It is rounded by its own gravity. The planets in our solar system are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Our star is called the Sun. 

In our solar system, Jupiter is the largest planet and Mercury is the smallest. Mercury is nearest to the Sun and Neptune is the farthest.

Our planet Earth is third from the sun and the only planet known to exist life. You may have heard about Aliens-people from other planets but there is not enough evidence to prove that they really exist.

   މަރކިއުރީއޭ ބުނީމައި ވަރަށް ގިނަ އެއްޗެހި ހިތަށް އަރައިފާނެއެވެ. ބްރޭންޑެއް ބާވައެވެ ނުވަތަ ކެމިކަލްއެއް ބާވައެވެ ޢޭވެސް ހީކޮށްފާނެއެވެ. ނަމަވެސް މިތާނގައި މިބުނަނީ މަރކިއުރީ ކިޔާ ޕްލެނެޓެއްގެ ވާހަކައެވެ. މަރކިއުރީއަކީ އަޅުގަނޑުމެންގެ ސޯލާ ސިސްޓަމުން އެންމެކުޑަ ޕްލެނެޓެވެ. ކުޑަ   ވުމުގެ އިތުރުން އިރާ ކައިރިވުމުގެ ސަބަބުން  އެއާބެހޭގޮތުން ފަލަކީ ޢިލްމުވެރިންނަށް މައުލޫމާތު ހޯދަން އުނދަގޫ ޕްލެނެޓެކެވެ. 

   އަދި އެއް ދުވަސް ވަނީ 59 ދުނިޔޭ ދުވަހުންނެވެ. މަރކިއުރީގައި އަހަރެއްވަނީ 88ށް ދުވަހުންނެވެ. މަރކިއުރީ އިރު ވަށައި ދަތުރުކުރަނީ ގަޑިއިރަކު 50 ކިލޯމީޓަރުގެ ބާރުމިނުގައެވެ. އެހެން ހުރިހައި ޕްލެނެޓްތަކަށްވުރެން ބާރަށެވެ. 

  މަރކިއުރީ އިރުވަށައި ބުރުއަޅާކަމަށް އެންމެފުރަތަމަބުނީ ހެރަކްލެއިޑެސްއޭކިޔާ ފަލަކީ ޢިލްމުވެރިއެކެވެ. އެއީ ސީ385ބީސީގައެވެ. އަދި އެންމެފުރަތަމަ ޓެލެސްކޯޕަކުން މަރކިއުރީ ބަލައިހެދީ ޓެލެސްކޯޕް އީޖާދުކުރި ގަލީލިއޯ ގަލީލީއެވެ. 

   މަރކިއުރީއާބެހޭގޮތުން މައުލޫމާތުހޯދަން އެންމެފުރަތަމަ ފޮނުވީ މެރީނާރ 10ކެވެ. މެރީނާރ 10 އޭގެ ދަތުރު ފެއްޓީ 1973 ވަނައަހަރުގެ ނޮވެމްބަރުމަހުއެވެ. މިއުޅަނދު މަރކިއުރީ ކައިރިން 3 ފަހަރު ދިޔައެވެ. އަދި މަރކިއުރީގައި މެގްނެޓިކް ފީލްޑެއް އިންނަކަންވެސް ހާމަކުރިއެވެ. 

    މީގެކުރިއަކުން އެއްވެސް އުޅަނދެއް މަރކިއުރީގައި ޖައްސައިފައެއް ނުވެއެވެ. ނަމަވެސް ކުރިއަށް އޮތްތާނގައި މަރކިއުރީއަށް ޖައްސާނެއުޅަނދު ފޮނުވުމަށް ޔޫރޯޕިއަން ސްޕޭސް އޭޖެންސީ (އީ.އެސް.އޭ) އިން އަމާޒުކޮށްފައިވެއެވެ.

The Morning Star

Excluding the sun and the moon, Venus is the brightest object in the sky. It is called the morning star when it appears in sunrise and is also called the evening star when it appears in the sunset. Venus is never visible more than 3 hours before sunrise or three hours after sunset because of the distances of the orbits of Venus and Earth from the Sun. In the ancient times, the evening star is was called Hesperus while the morning star was called Phosphorus or Lucifer. Venus has a deep atmosphere and a complete cloud cover so it is difficult to study from the Earth. Most of our knowledge about the planet has been obtained through the space crafts.

Venus is named after the Roman Goddess of Love. Venus is classified as a terrestrial planet(rocky body) and is sometimes called the Earth's sister planet. The planet takes 224.7 Earth days to orbit the sun. Venus is 12,092 km in diameter and has a mass of 81.5% of the Earth's.
