Orion (The Hunter)

  Orion

Orion (also known as the hunter) is a constellation which is located on the celestial equator. It is a constellation which is visible throughout the world. It is one of the most recognizable constellations in the night sky. It's name refers to Orion, hunter in Greek Mythology.

The brightest stars in Orion are Rigel, Betelgeuse and a blue-white and red Supergiant. Orion is easy to find because of it's belt (Orion's belt). Orion can be easily seen in the night sky from November to February each year.

Orion is a very useful constellation because it is used to locate other stars. It can be used to locate Castor and Pollux (constellation: Gemini), Procyon (constellation: Canis Minor), Aldebaran (constellation: Taurus) and Sirius (constellation: Canis Major).
